How to File a Takedown Notice

To ensure your notice is valid under the DMCA, it must include the following information:

    Provide your name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  2. Identification of the Copyrighted Work:
    Clearly describe the copyrighted work that you believe is being infringed. This could include titles, descriptions, or any relevant registration information.

    "The information in this notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, I am the owner, or authorized to act on behalf of the owner, of the copyright that is allegedly infringed."
  6. Your Signature:
    Include a physical or electronic signature (e.g., typing your full name at the bottom of your email).

Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice does not guarantee that the material will be removed, and any false or misleading statements in your notice may subject you to legal liability.

What Happens Next?

  1. Once we receive your valid notice, we will:
    • Remove or disable access to the infringing material.
    • Notify the user who uploaded the material about the removal and your complaint.
  2. The user may have the option to file a counter-notice if they believe the removal was a mistake. If a counter-notice is filed, you will be notified and may need to take further legal action to keep the material removed.
